SWEETWATER, FL – Mayor Jose “Pepe” Diaz expressed deep concern Tuesday about eviction notices served to residents of Lil’ Abner Mobile Homes. The notices require families to vacate their homes within six months, causing distress as the holiday season approaches.

Diaz stated that the city administration and commissioners are actively exploring resources to help affected residents. "This letter, arriving without warning as we approach the holiday season, has understandably left many families in distress," Diaz said in a statement. "My administration and the City Commissioners are diligently exploring every available resource while we continue to stand by our community to help during these troubling times and transition."

The City of Sweetwater is working to support the families impacted by the sudden requirement to leave their homes. The mayor’s office pledged to provide ongoing support during this challenging transition period.

Residents affected by the notices can seek guidance and support through the City of Sweetwater’s Office of the Mayor, located at 500 S.W. 109th Avenue.
