Contractors must re-register with the county's new electronic permitting system to continue submitting applications and scheduling inspections starting October 1st, 2025.

The new My Government Online portal requires contractors to create an account, register as a contractor, and upload current certificates of liability, worker's compensation, and contractor's licenses. The county also adjusted permit fees under Resolution No. 2025-054, effective the same date.

The county provides permit checklists and a customer help guide on the My Government Online website. Contractors needing technical assistance can call the My Government Online Help Desk at (866) 957-3764 and select Option 1.

Owner-builders seeking permit exemptions must personally appear and sign the application. Solar projects are exempt from this requirement if the owner submits the application electronically and certifies it through the permitting agency's electronic system. This exception implements a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy SunShot Initiative.

Failure to comply may result in withholding final approval or permit revocation.
