Free Acting Program in Daytona Beach for All Ages

Budding actors of all ages in Daytona Beach can explore their dramatic talents through the City of Daytona Beach’s free Inner Acting program. The program aims to build confidence and develop public speaking skills.

Classes are underway and continue through December 18 at two recreation facilities.

At the Dickerson Community Center, 308 S. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., children ages 8-12 meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Teens have sessions the same days from 6:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. Adults attend classes Fridays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Call (386) 671-5820 for more information about programs at Dickerson Community Center.

The Yvonne Scarlett-Golden Cultural and Educational Center, 1000 Vine St., also hosts classes. Children ages 8-12 attend Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Teen sessions are scheduled Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. Adults participate in acting classes Fridays from 6:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. Call (386) 671-5780 for programs at the Yvonne Scarlett-Golden Center.
