Residents and businesses in unincorporated Palm Beach County will have normal waste collection services on Monday, Oct. 12, the Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County (SWA) confirmed. Garbage, recyclables, yard waste and bulk waste collection will proceed as scheduled.

SWA-operated disposal facilities will maintain regular hours on Oct. 12. Haulers serving unincorporated areas, from Jupiter to Boca Raton, will run their standard routes. Residents should place all waste materials curbside by 6 a.m. for timely pickup.

The SWA's administrative offices and customer service team will operate during normal business hours. Residents can reach customer service at 561-697-2700 or [email protected] with questions. The SWA website offers a pickup schedule where residents can view their collection schedule, set reminders and sign up for notifications.

Residents within incorporated Palm Beach County municipalities should contact their city, town or village directly for holiday service information, as schedules may differ. The SWA provides a list of municipal contacts online.

The SWA noted that Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day are the only holidays during which waste collection services are suspended for unincorporated Palm Beach County. Services continue as scheduled on other holidays, including Veterans Day, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
