The Tavares Pavilion offers ample parking options in close proximity to the facility. There is a convenient parking lot located off the roundabout. Additionally, you can find parking spaces in Wooton Park and nearby on-street parking. Just down the street, you'll also find the Lake County Parking Garage, which provides 1,555 parking spaces for easy access.

Davey Award The Davey Awards from the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA) is an international award focused exclusively on honoring outstanding creative work from the best small teams from across the world. The Davey Awards receives entries from ad agencies, digital agencies, production firms, in-house creative professionals, graphic designers, design firms and public relations firms. Citizens also love the community’s K-9 Cove dog park. K-9 Cove features both a passive recreational area and two separate fenced areas for smaller and larger dogs. Tree City USA | Growth Award The Tree City USA Growth Award is presented by the Arbor Day Foundation to participating Tree City USA communities that demonstrate higher levels of tree care and community engagement during the calendar year. Tree City USA | Sterling City A community that has earned ten Tree City USA Growth Awards is recognized as a Sterling Tree City USA. Sterling communities are regarded as leaders in community forestry and are often looked upon as innovators. The Town comprehensive Tree Management Plan has established an organized, proactive tree maintenance program to ensure Miami Lakes and its trees continue “Growing Beautifully.” Playful City USA Playful City USA was a recognition program, that recognized and honored the cities and towns that ensured kids in their communities, were getting the balanced and active play they need to thrive. From 2008 to 2017 Miami Lakes earned recognition from national non-profit KaBOOM! for its efforts to provide children with the tools and opportunities for play. Communities for a Lifetime The Florida Department of Elder Affairs honored the town of Miami Lakes in 2005 with the Communities for a Lifetime Award. This award recognizes municipalities that have demonstrated a strong commitment to providing accessible and livable communities for older adults. The recognition is a testament to the town’s dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for older adults. The selection process for this prestigious award is rigorous, with judges evaluating nominees based on criteria such as creativity, innovation, functionality, and community engagement. In 2016, Miami Lakes stood out among the nominees for its exceptional park planning and implementation. Hearings are conducted in person by Special Magistrates, who are qualified real estate appraisers, personal property appraisers, or attorneys, selected by the VAB to make recommendations on Petitions. Under Florida Law, the Property Appraiser’s assessment is supported by a "presumption of correctness" and the burden of proof falls on the Petitioner contesting the validity and/or value of the Property Appraiser’s assessment. The Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller is the Clerk to the VAB. The Clerk provides information and forms pertaining to the petition process by which a property owner can challenge the valuation, exemption, or classification assigned to the property.
