Pensacola businesses had an opportunity last Friday to learn how to establish working relationships with local government. The "How to Do Business with Your Local Government" workshop, held on September 25, provided insights into registering a business and understanding bidding and procurement procedures.
This workshop offered a direct line for local businesses to engage with city operations. Understanding the processes for government contracts and partnerships helps local companies grow and contributes to the city's economic vitality. The event aimed to demystify the steps involved in working with municipal entities, making it easier for businesses to participate in local government projects.
The free workshop took place from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the Hagler-Mason Conference Room at City Hall, located at 222 W. Main St. The City of Pensacola co-hosted the event with the Community Redevelopment Agency, Florida APEX Accelerator, and the Gulf Coast Minority Chamber of Commerce. These organizations collaborated to provide comprehensive information to attendees.
Presentations came from representatives of the City of Pensacola, Florida APEX Accelerator, and the Gulf Coast Minority Chamber of Commerce. Following the presentations, attendees participated in a question-and-answer session and a networking opportunity. Dedria Lunderman, City of Pensacola Purchasing Manager, served as a key contact for those seeking more information, reachable at 850-435-1838 or [email protected].
