Florida City Joins Expanded Law Enforcement Network

Florida City is a key participant in a broad law enforcement network spanning Miami-Dade and Monroe counties. This collaboration ensures coordinated public safety efforts and addresses regional concerns.
The network includes municipal police departments, county sheriff’s offices and state agencies. This structure offers residents a unified approach to law enforcement, affecting traffic enforcement, emergency response and investigative services.
In Miami-Dade County, Florida City partners with 34 other municipal agencies. These include Homestead, Palmetto Bay, Cutler Bay, the City of Miami and Miami-Dade County law enforcement.
Specialized agencies also collaborate with Florida City. These include the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Florida Highway Patrol and the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s office. Educational institutions like Florida International University, the University of Miami and Miami-Dade Public Schools participate for campus security. The Miccosukee Tribe also holds a partnership within this framework.
The network extends into Monroe County, with partners such as the Key West Police Department, the Monroe County Sheriff and the Monroe County State Attorney. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is also part of this alliance. This network facilitates information sharing and resource allocation to enhance safety across communities from Florida City to the Florida Keys.
