Florida law requires the Village Council to annually adopt a balanced budget and establish the ad valorem millage rate for the upcoming fiscal year. The proposed FY 2026–27 budget serves as the Village's financial and operating plan and provides funding for the delivery of municipal services and capital improvements.
Florida law requires the Village Council to annually adopt a balanced budget and establish the ad valorem millage rate for the upcoming fiscal year. The proposed FY 2026–27 budget serves as the Village's financial and operating plan and provides funding for the delivery of municipal services and capital improvements. Since the June 15, 2026, Budget Workshop staff have updated the proposed budget to reflect revised revenue estimates. Based on the Palm Beach County Property Appraiser's certification of taxable values, ad valorem revenues are projected to increase by approximately $59,650 over the preliminary estimate. Final insurance and employee benefit costs are still pending and will be incorporated prior to budget adoption. Budgetary Highlights: Maintains the current millage rate of 6.4595 mills Total proposed budget of $52.5 million General Fund reserves remain above the Village's 25% policy Funds over $18 million in utility and capital improvements No new debt proposed Continues investment in public safety Continues long-term street and sidewalk improvements These projects improve public safety, enhance neighborhood infrastructure, and preserve the Village's public assets.
