ASSISTANT HOUSE MANAGER Department: Operations Reports To: House Manager Classification: Part-time; Non-Exempt; Hourly Summary: The Assistant House Manager is primarily responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of Tampa Theatre patrons during events. This position will supervise volunteer ushers, handle customer service issues, and assist with the overall smooth operation of events. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Supervise and direct volunteer ushers, ensuring they are properly trained and positioned. Address and resolve customer service issues and complaints in a professional and timely manner. Assist with pre-event setup and post-event cleanup. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and emergency procedures. Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of the lobby, auditorium, and restroom areas. Assist with crowd control and seating arrangements. Provide support to the House Manager and other operations staff. Prepare and submit incident reports as needed. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred. Previous experience in customer service or event management preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle stressful situations and make quick decisions. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Ability to climb stairs and navigate crowded spaces.
