Drive with Caution: Dense Fog Advisory Issued for Skagit and Snohomish Lowlands
A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 1 PM PDT today for lowlands in Western Skagit and Northwestern Snohomish Counties, including Everett and Marysville, with visibility under one-quarter mile.
Day.News reports that a Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for the lowlands of Western Skagit and Northwestern Snohomish Counties, including the Downtown Everett and Marysville areas. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Seattle issued the advisory today, October 8, at 9:13 AM PDT. It is set to expire at 1:00 PM PDT this afternoon.
Visibility is reported to be one-quarter mile or less due to the dense fog. The NWS states that the densest fog is primarily concentrated along coastal areas and within the Snohomish River valley.
Driving conditions may be hazardous due to the significantly reduced visibility. The NWS advises all drivers to slow down, use their headlights, and maintain plenty of distance from other vehicles. These precautions are crucial for safe travel during the advisory period.
