Cycling event raises funds to support diabetes research, local programming, and advocacy efforts On Sunday, March 29, the American Diabetes Association® (ADA) will host its 2026 Tour de Cure®: Florida. This cycling fundraiser will bring together individuals, families, organizations, and corporations for a ride in support of people living with diabetes.Time and date: 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 29Location: Lake Nona Town Center, 6900 Tavistock Lakes Blvd, Orlando, FL 32827Register, join a team, and fundraise: diabetes.org/TourFL“It's heartbreaking that every 3 minutes, someone in the U.S. loses a limb to diabetes complications. But the good news is that most of these cases are preventable with the right awareness, care, and support. That's why Tour de Cure: Florida means so much. When we ride together, we're fueling lifesaving research, strengthening local programs for people living with diabetes, and pushing for better advocacy. Your participation today helps turn the tide for tomorrow,” said Kimberly Wade, the ADA’s executive director in the Florida market.Nationwide, over 40 million people have diabetes, and every 21 seconds, someone new is diagnosed. Approximately 2.3 million adults in Florida, or 10% of the adult population, have diagnosed diabetes.
