As a kick-off to American Public Works Association National Public Works Week, (May 17-23, 2026), your South Elgin Public Works Department will host a Public Works Open House 2026, Friday May 15 from 2-6pm at the Public Services Building, 1000 Bowes Road. Along with touch-a-truck, come enjoy games, snacks, promotional giveaways from our vendors and an opportunity to engage with the public works team. Get Your Rain Barrel from The Conservation Foundation! We’ll have a sample of the rain barrel on display at the Open House.
