Refresh your closet sustainably at the Newport Recreation Center’s Earth Day Clothing Swap on Saturday, April 18 from 10 am until 1 pm. This eco-friendly event invites attendees to clean out their closets, donate old clothing items, and exchange for “new to you” pieces supplied by our community.   During the event, shopping will be open to ticket holders only from 10 am until noon. Between noon and 1 pm, the doors will open for everyone to shop the remaining donations for $1 per item.   Participants can exchange their clothing donations for swap tickets. Clothing can be donated to the Newport Recreation Center during intake times:   Friday, April 17, noon – 7 pm Saturday, April 18, 9 – 10 am   Donations must be clean and wearable with no major stains or holes. No undergarments or jewelry. Maximum 15 items per person.
