Drivers in the Lane County Lowlands and Cascade Foothills should slow down and increase following distance immediately due to a Dense Fog Advisory issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Portland. The advisory is effective until 10:00 AM PDT today, October 7, 2026.

Visibility is currently one-quarter mile or less in the affected areas. These conditions can make driving hazardous.

Pedestrians and cyclists are advised to wear bright or reflective clothing to enhance visibility for others on the road during these poor conditions.

The NWS urges all residents in the advisory area to exercise extreme caution when traveling this morning.
