Charlotte County Tax & Utility Meetings Next Week
Charlotte County announces a series of public meetings next week covering property tax reform and utility updates. Residents can attend town halls and commission sessions in Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, and Englewood.

Charlotte County residents will have opportunities next week to discuss property tax reform and utility updates with local government officials. The county has scheduled several town hall and regular meetings from Monday, Oct. 12, 2026, through Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2026, in Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, and Englewood.
Two town hall meetings on Monday, Oct. 12, will address the 1% Local Option Sales Tax and Property Tax Reform at 6 p.m. One meeting will occur at the Harold Avenue Regional Park Recreation Center, 23400 Harold Ave., Port Charlotte. The other will take place at the Punta Gorda Charlotte Library, 401 Shreve St., Punta Gorda.
The Board of County Commissioners will meet Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 9 a.m. A Utilities Quarterly Update Meeting follows at 2 p.m. Both sessions will be at the Charlotte County Administration Center, 18500 Murdock Circle, Room 119, Port Charlotte.
Additional public meetings include the Board of Zoning Appeals on Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 9 a.m. in Commission Chambers, Room 119, at the Charlotte County Administration Center. Later that day, the Gulf Cove Street & Drainage MSBU Advisory Board will meet at 1:30 p.m. at the Ann & Chuck Dever Regional Park Recreation Center, 6961 San Casa Drive, Multipurpose Room A, Englewood. This meeting focuses on street and drainage matters for the Gulf Cove area.
Residents can attend meetings in person. Agendas for each meeting will be available on the Charlotte County government website prior to the scheduled dates.
