Englewood residents and others are demonstrating strong community support following the theft of a donation box intended to help 4-year-old Cashton Krause with his cerebral palsy treatments. The box was stolen from Townline Market in Wausau, Wisconsin, where Cashton's grandfather, former market owner David Jagler, had been collecting funds.
Cerebral palsy treatments often require extensive travel and are not typically covered by insurance, creating significant financial challenges for families. The Krause family also lost their home in the Ringle tornado and currently lives in rented, inaccessible housing.
Following the theft, a temporary donation jar was placed at the market counter. Donations have also been received by mail, and some individuals have made substantial contributions. Cashton's mother, Jennifer Imhoff, expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support, stating that the incident has become a blessing, with current donations exceeding what the stolen box had collected.
