A Wind Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Salt Lake City, UT, for the Central Mountains and Southern Mountains. Residents in these areas should prepare for strong south winds of 30 to 40 mph, with gusts anticipated to reach up to 65 mph.

The advisory is effective from 6 AM MDT Sunday, October 11, and will remain in effect until 6 AM MDT Monday, October 12. These strong winds are expected to cause unsecured objects to blow around, and a few power outages may occur.

The NWS advises that winds of this strength can make driving challenging, particularly for high-profile vehicles and those towing trailers. Drivers are urged to use extra caution when traveling through the affected mountain regions during this period.
