Building Trauma-Sensitive Schools: Strategies for Supporting Students and Staff Date: Fri, December 6, 2024 Time: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM EST Location: Family Style Learning Center Description This training is designed to provide educators and school staff with the knowledge and skills necessary to create trauma-sensitive school environments. Participants will learn about the impact of trauma on children’s learning and behavior and will explore practical strategies for supporting students and staff who have experienced trauma. Topics covered will include: Understanding trauma and its impact on the brain and body Recognizing the signs and symptoms of trauma in students and staff Creating a safe and supportive school environment Using positive behavior management techniques Implementing self-care strategies for educators and staff
