COFFEE COUNTY, AL – October 8, 2026 – A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for Coffee County, effective immediately from 11:06 AM EDT today until 7:15 PM EDT. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Tallahassee, FL, urges residents in Enterprise and Elba to complete all preparations now.
Hazardous winds of 20-30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph are expected, with a potential for winds reaching 39-57 mph. Residents should secure outdoor objects and prepare for limited wind damage, including potential damage to porches, carports, and unanchored mobile homes. Scattered power and communications outages are possible.
A Flood Watch is in effect, with 2-4 inches of rain forecast, potentially leading to major flooding. Emergency plans should include the potential for extensive flooding; evacuations and rescues are likely. Heed all flood watches and warnings immediately.
