In her early teenage years, she moved to Denton,Texas, where she built a life centered on family, faith, and community. Her life was a testament to kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion. She was a woman whose gentle spirit and generous heart touched everyone she encountered. Kathryn lived a life rooted in love—especially for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She celebrated their victories, supported their dreams, and offered comfort in every season. Her presence brought warmth, and her love was steady, unconditional, and deeply felt.She is survived by her son, Christopher McKinzie of Denton, Texas; her daughters, Tollita McKinzie of Lake Dallas, Texas, and Kenya McKinzie of Denton, Texas; her sisters, Dolores Miles of Denton,Texas, and Sharon Locklin of Dallas, Texas; her brothers, Calvin Stanley of Austin, Texas, Billy Stanley of Decatur, Texas, Felton Stanley of San Antonio, Texas, and Elton Stanley of Burnet, Texas; and her devoted companion, Timothy Williams.She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Kateia Wilhite, Shakyla McKinzie, Avery Wilhite, Lacajmine McKinzie, Jalereyon Wilson, Jaqualyn Wilhite, Shameia McKinzie, Alexis McHenry, ShaDiamond Wilson, Sheaira McKinzie, Victoria Aviles, Ta’Meia Reed, and KeyMareya Wilson.Her great-grandchildren include: D’Averion Allen, Ashon Allen, Jeremiah Campbell, Amar’rai Wilhite, Gianni Durr, Makia Rorie, Khai’lyn Mathieu Wilhite, Ka’Harrii Gray, Benahceo Rorie Jr., Kairo Snyder, KaMyren Wilson, Khoa Wilhite, Malachi Durr, Kadence Brock, and Ka’Manii Gray.She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucy McHenry Stanley and Henry Stanley; her husband, Wilmer McKinzie; and her siblings: Alfonzo McHenry, Brenda Faye Stanley, Roosevelt Stanley, Bobbie Stanley, Henry Stanley Jr., Alonzo McHenry, Maxine Kittlen, Barbara Jackson, and Johnny Stanley.Though her physical presence is no longer with us, Kathryn’s love, wisdom, and legacy will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
