Zionsville Library Launches Board Game Checkout Program

Board Games Are Coming to the Zionsville Branch!

Board Games Are Coming to the Zionsville Branch! HMMPL is excited to announce that board games will soon be available for checkout with your library card at the Zionsville Branch! Whether you enjoy strategy games, party games, cooperative adventures, or classic favorites, this collection is designed to bring people together through play. The board games will be located in the Teen & Adult area of the library and will include a wide variety of game types and difficulty levels so patrons of all experience levels can find something fun to try. Patrons may check out up to two games at a time, and games will circulate for 14 days. HMMPL patrons will be able to place games on hold using their library card, making it easy to plan your next game night at home with friends or family! The goal of this project is to create opportunities for our community to discover—or renew their sense of play, not just during our regular gaming programs. Board games encourage communication, creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, all while creating memorable experiences together. Including a diverse range of games is especially important because it gives patrons the chance to explore different game mechanics, themes, and styles of play before committing to purchasing games themselves. We envision HMMPL as a welcoming space where everyone can connect, learn, and have fun together through games. A huge thank you to the Friends of the Library for awarding a grant to Jessica Frazier, Teen & Adult Services Librarian, to help make this project possible! We can’t wait to share this collection with the community! Here is a link to see what games are being processed right now One important thing to remember is that these games need to be returned to the Zionsville branch at the Teen & Adult reference desk. They may NOT be placed in any return bins (inside or outside of the building). The post Game On! appeared first on Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library.
