Pinellas Sheriff Hosts National Night Out in Madeira Beach & Oldsmar

The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office held its annual National Night Out events Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026, at the Madeira Beach Recreation Center and R.E. Olds Park in Oldsmar. The events ran from 5 to 7 p.m.

National Night Out aims to strengthen community partnerships and build safer neighborhoods by connecting residents and law enforcement. Attendees met PCSO personnel and learned about public safety initiatives.

At the Madeira Beach Recreation Center, 200 Rex Place, visitors saw PCSO vehicles and equipment, including a Humvee, Command Bus, High Water Rescue Vehicle and a SWAT Robot. The K-9 unit performed demonstrations. A PCSO Classic Car, a Dodge Diplomat, a Marine Boat and forensics displays were also on site. The Sheriff’s Volunteer Patrol offered bike helmet fitting and fingerprinting services.

R.E. Olds Park, 107 Shore Drive West in Oldsmar, featured a helicopter display, along with forensics and public safety information booths. Other vehicles present included a Tahoe, a PCSO Classic Car, a Plymouth Fury, High Water Rescue Vehicles and a Humvee. A K-9 demonstration and a public relations table were also available.
