Volunteer at Fire Rescue: Monroe County Fire Rescue is accepting applications for volunteer firefighters. Fire Rescue volunteers are an important part of our team. Volunteers supplement career staff at various fire stations throughout the Keys, including Station 8, located at 5565 Overseas Highway, Marathon. Consideration is based upon the needs of the station. To be considered, volunteers must: Be at least 18 years of age. Be a high school graduate or have a GED. Hold a valid Florida driver's license. Have no felony convictions.
