Residents in Eastern Essex, Suffolk, Eastern Norfolk, Eastern Plymouth, Southern Bristol, Southern Plymouth, Barnstable, Dukes, and Nantucket in Massachusetts, along with Bristol, Washington, Newport, and Block Island in Rhode Island, are advised to secure loose objects due to a High Wind Warning issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Boston/Norton MA.

The warning is effective from 8 AM EDT this morning, September 25, until 2 AM EDT Sunday, September 27. Northeast winds are expected to reach 25 to 35 mph, with gusts up to 60 mph.

These damaging winds may bring down tree branches and power lines, with power outages anticipated. Travel could be difficult, particularly for high-profile vehicles. The NWS urges everyone to secure any loose outdoor items that could be blown around or damaged by the wind.
