Doral Inspectors Earn AWS D1.1 Structural Steel Endorsement

Certified Welding Inspectors (CWIs) and Senior Certified Welding Inspectors (SCWIs) in Doral can now obtain the AWS D1.1 Structural Steel endorsement to validate their expertise in structural steel welding. This qualification covers material and design, fabrication, inspection, and qualification procedures.

The endorsement benefits professionals working on projects such as airport expansions and new developments. Earning this credential demonstrates a thorough understanding of the AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code - Steel and can create new career opportunities.

The American Welding Society (AWS) offers an online D1.1 Code Clinic to help prepare for the exam. This self-paced training covers key aspects of the standard and provides 4 PDHs / 0.4 CEUs. Candidates can use the D1.1/D1.1M:2025 Structural Welding Code - Steel as their primary reference.

The exam costs $445 for AWS members and $540 for non-members. Registration is available on the AWS website. The D1.1 Endorsement does not expire as long as the CWI certification remains active and is renewed on schedule.
