Derby Summer Street Maintenance Projects 2024

Derby will begin its annual pavement maintenance program in June, with crews repainting traffic lines, sealing cracks and repairing sidewalks throughout the summer.

Pavement marking crews will repaint traffic lines and roadway markings from early morning through early evening, avoiding rush hours to minimize delays. Contractors will remove tripping hazards from sidewalks citywide beginning the week of June 1, weather permitting, with work scheduled for completion in June. Crack sealing work begins in July and continues through summer, primarily during daytime hours with some overnight work in commercial areas.

Motorists should expect temporary lane closures and minor traffic delays in active work zones. Drivers should use caution near crews and equipment.
