A Storm Surge Warning has been issued for Baldwin Central, including Daphne, Fairhope, and Foley, effective immediately, October 9, at 10:00 AM CDT by the National Weather Service Mobile AL. This warning is in effect until 6:00 PM CDT today. Residents in surge-prone areas should remain sheltered in a safe location, as life-threatening storm surge of 2-4 feet above ground is possible through Saturday morning. Flood preparations and ordered evacuations should be complete, with evacuees in shelters well away from flood zones.

Dangerous winds of 25-35 mph with gusts up to 65 mph are expected, with potential for winds up to 73 mph. Significant damage to property and widespread power outages are possible. Move to safe shelter before winds become hazardous. Additionally, a Flood Watch is in effect, with 3-6 inches of rain expected, potentially leading to major flooding and prompting evacuations. Heed all flood watches and warnings. The tornado threat remains, with a few isolated tornadoes possible. If a tornado warning is issued, shelter quickly.
