A Storm Surge Warning has been issued for Baldwin Central, including Daphne, Fairhope, and Foley, by the NWS Mobile AL, effective immediately. This warning, issued October 9 at 3:55 PM CDT, indicates an extreme and immediate threat to life and property.
Residents in affected areas should be sheltering from dangerous winds, which are forecast to be equivalent to strong tropical storm force (30-40 mph with gusts to 70 mph) and will persist until early Saturday morning. Last-minute preparations for wind should be complete. Life-threatening storm surge of 2-4 feet above ground is possible through Saturday morning.
