A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for Inland Wakulla, including Crawfordville and Wakulla Springs, effective immediately as of 8:01 AM EDT on October 8. This warning, issued by the National Weather Service in Tallahassee, FL, indicates severe conditions and will remain in effect until 4:15 PM UTC today.

Residents should prepare for significant potential impacts, particularly from heavy rainfall and tornadoes. A Flood Watch is in effect, with an additional 2-4 inches of rain expected, possibly leading to moderate flooding. Emergency plans should include the potential for evacuations and rescues. Heed any flood watches and warnings; failure to act may result in serious injury or loss of life.

The situation is also favorable for several tornadoes. Be ready to shelter quickly if a tornado warning is issued. Tornadoes can cause significant damage, power loss, and communication failures. The wind threat is below tropical storm force, with peak gusts up to 30 mph, but conditions may still be gusty. No storm surge inundation is forecast.
