Heat Advisory Expires, Cooler Temperatures Expected
A Heat Advisory for multiple counties and areas expired on October 8, 2026, with cooler temperatures expected today and through the weekend.
The Heat Advisory issued for numerous areas, including Western Shasta County Foothills, Redding Metro, Eastern Shasta County Foothills, and parts of Tehama, Butte, Plumas, Glenn, Colusa, Sutter, Yuba, Yolo, Solano, Sacramento, San Joaquin, and Stanislaus Counties, expired on October 8, 2026, at 10:00 PM PDT. This advisory was issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Sacramento CA.
A slight cool down is anticipated today, Friday, with a more significant cool down to below-normal temperatures expected across the weekend. While the Heat Advisory has expired, isolated moderate HeatRisk will persist in the foothills thermal belts and adjacent Valley locations today.
