Dense Fog Advisory Issued for Coast: Drive with Caution Until 10 AM PDT

A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for coastal areas of Oregon and Washington until Saturday, October 3 at 10:00 AM PDT, with visibility expected to be a quarter-mile or less.

A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for the Clatsop County Coast, Tillamook County Coast, Central Coast of Oregon (Lincoln and Lane County Coasts), and the South Washington Coast (Pacific County Coast) by the National Weather Service (NWS) in Portland, OR. The advisory is effective immediately and will remain in place until 10:00 AM PDT on Saturday, October 3.

Visibility is expected to be a quarter-mile or less in dense fog, making driving conditions hazardous. The NWS urges all drivers to slow down, increase following distances, and use low-beam headlights. Pedestrians and cyclists are advised to wear bright or reflective clothing to enhance visibility for others.
