Residents in Baker, Eastern Hamilton, Northern Columbia, Echols, Clinch, Northern Ware, Southern Ware, and Western Charlton counties should prepare for a strong thunderstorm. The National Weather Service (NWS) Jacksonville FL issued a Special Weather Statement today, October 3, 2026, at 5:22 PM EDT, effective until 6:00 PM UTC (2:00 PM EDT).

Doppler radar indicates a strong thunderstorm near Needmore, approximately 9 miles southwest of Fargo, moving northeast at 15 mph. The primary hazards are wind gusts around 40 mph and minor flooding due to heavy rainfall.

Impacts include the potential for gusty winds to knock down tree limbs and displace unsecured objects. Minor flooding is possible, particularly in areas experiencing torrential rainfall. Locations specifically impacted include Fargo, Needmore, and Manor.

If you are outdoors, seek shelter inside a sturdy building. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. The NWS advises caution and urges residents to remain informed.
