Brian Dale, the City of Cocoa's Procurement and Budget Manager, ensures city departments acquire resources efficiently and ethically. Dale, who joined the city in October 2021, oversees citywide purchasing, assists with the city's budget and manages the Central Warehouse inventory.

His responsibilities include procuring materials and services with careful consideration of taxpayer dollars and maintaining integrity and accountability throughout the procurement process.

Dale transitioned into his current role in October 2025, after serving as Purchasing Manager. He expanded his duties to include budget assistance upon earning his Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) designation.

He finds satisfaction in solving problems related to procurement, warehouse logistics and budgeting. Dale takes pride in supporting the services residents rely on daily, as nearly every city department depends on purchasing and procurement. His role helps keep city operations running smoothly while safeguarding public funds.

Before moving to Cocoa in 2021, Dale spent 14 years with the New York City Department of Environmental Protection. There, he managed contracts for the agency’s water system capital improvement program.

Outside of work, Dale enjoys spending time with his wife and children. The family is active in local homeschooling groups and their church community. They also explore the Space Coast's beaches and natural parks.
