Currently, Iowa has the second-highest rate of new cancer diagnoses in the United States. The 99 Counties Project is a public health initiative dedicated to increasing cancer education and community engagement across Iowa. We invite you to join members of the 99 Counties Project team for a presentation featuring county-specific cancer information for Clayton County on September 15 from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. Participants may attend in person at the Clayton County Office Building Public Meeting Room or virtually via Zoom. Registration details can be found in the attached materials.

Clayton County Seeks Bids for FY24 Hot Mix Asphalt Overlay Projects; Public Opening May 7
BID NOTICE CLAYTON COUNTY FY2024 HOT MIX ASPHALT OVERLAY PROJECTS Notice is hereby given that Clayton County will receive electronic bids for two (2) Hot Mix Asphalt Overlay Projects in accordance with the Plans and Specifications on file at the Clayton County Engineer's Office. Bid letting shall be in accordance with Iowa Code Chapter 26, and all other applicable portions of the Code of Iowa, and the Standard Specifications for Highway and Bridge Construction, Series 2012, Iowa Department of Transportation. Bids shall be submitted electronically through BidX at https://www.bidx.com/ia/main. Bidders must be registered with BidX to submit a bid. Instructions for registration and use of BidX are available on the BidX website. The system will not accept bids after the bid closing time. A Public Bid Opening will be held via a Teams Meeting on May 7, 2024, at 10:30 A.M. (CT). Bid Closing: May 7, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. (CT). Details and Plans for the project are on file and may be obtained from the Clayton County Engineer's Office, 600 Gunder Rd NE, Elkader, Iowa 52043, at a non-refundable cost of $50.00 for each set. Please contact the Engineer's Office at (563) 245-2101 for payment and delivery details. Plans are also available for viewing only at the Engineer's Office. It is the Bidder's responsibility to check for Addenda on the BidX website prior to submitting their bid. Clayton County reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to accept the bid that is deemed to be in the best interest of Clayton County. This project will be awarded within sixty (60) calendar days from the date of the letting unless otherwise agreed upon. Clayton County, Iowa is an Equal Opportunity Affirmative Action Employer.
