A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for Clarke County, effective immediately as of 6:53 AM CDT, October 9, by the National Weather Service (NWS) Mobile AL. The warning impacts Jackson, Thomasville, and Grove Hill. This warning remains in effect until 3:00 PM UTC today.

Residents should complete all remaining efforts to protect life and property now. Prepare for significant wind damage, with peak wind gusts potentially reaching 45 mph, and a potential for winds between 58 to 73 mph. Move to safe shelter before hazardous winds arrive.

Extensive rainfall flooding is also a significant threat. A Flood Watch is in effect, with 2-4 inches of rain expected, and locally higher amounts possible.
