Residents in the Little Belt and Highwood Mountains, Snowy and Judith Mountains, and Elkhorn and Boulder Mountains should prepare for a Winter Storm Warning in effect until 6:00 AM MDT on Monday, October 12. The National Weather Service in Great Falls, MT, issued the warning today, October 11, at 10:29 AM MDT.

Heavy, wet snow is expected, with additional accumulations between 4 and 9 inches. Travel could become very difficult. Gusty winds combined with the wet and heavy snow may bring down tree branches, and isolated power outages are possible.

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. For the latest road conditions, dial 511.
