The National Weather Service Boston/Norton MA issued this warning today, September 26, at 2:03 AM EDT. Northeast winds are expected to reach 20 to 30 mph, with gusts up to 60 mph.
These damaging winds are predicted to cause widespread power outages by blowing down trees and power lines. Travel will be difficult, particularly for high-profile vehicles. People are urged to take preventative measures now to avoid property damage and ensure safety.
The warning applies to portions of eastern, northeastern, and southeastern Massachusetts, as well as northern and southern Rhode Island.
