83 South Main Street, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania part of the Chambersburg Historic District on the NRHP since August 26, 1982. The Historic District is centered at U.S. Routes 11 and 30 in Chambersburg, aka "the Diamond". This building is a short block south at the SE corner of Queen (US 30 eastbound) and Main (US 11). Formerly used as Bloom Bros. Department Store, now a clothing store, Lyons & Co.

The map shows important points during the beginning of Confederate General John McCausland’s raid on Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, and the immediate period after. McCausland was pursued by Union General William W. Averell. These U.S. Civil War events took place during late July and early August 1864.

The map shows important points during Confederate General John McCausland’s raid on Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, and the immediate period after. McCausland was pursued by Union General William W. Averell and defeated near Moorefield, West Virginia. This map enables the reader to discern the proximity of Winchester, Washington, and Baltimore. These U.S. Civil War events took place during late July and early August 1864.

Old Franklin County Jail on the NRHP since January 21, 1970. At Northwestern corner of King and 2nd Streets, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Was the oldest jail building in use in Pennsylvania, but is now owned by the local historical society. Gallows in courtyard (not shown).

Coldbrook Farm on the NRHP since March 28, 1996. At 955 Spring Lane, Chambersburg, Franklin County, Pennsylvania, a few blocks north of US 30. There are some no trespassing signs near the main buildings of the farm, but the owners are nice enough to allow passage nearby on foot for trout fisherman.

John Brown House in Chambersburg, PA on NRHP since March 5, 1970. At 225 East King Street, Chambersburg. Brown, the abolitionist, stayed here during the summer of 1859 while receiving supplies and recruits for his raid on Harpers Ferry, VA (fairly close to here). A couple of raiders returned very briefly to the house after the raid, while escaping.

Townhouse Row on the NRHP since December 18, 1978. At 57–85 North Main Street, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Just north of the Diamond (central square), most of these buildings were probably built right after the US Civil War, when the Confederates burnt the town down.
