Residents in Western Millard and Juab Counties and Southwest Utah are advised to secure loose outdoor objects and exercise extreme caution when driving due to a High Wind Warning now in effect. The National Weather Service (NWS) Salt Lake City has issued this warning until Monday, October 12, at 6:00 AM MDT.
South winds are expected to reach 25 to 35 mph, with gusts up to 60 mph. Wind gusts around 60 mph have already been observed near Cedar City as of 7:55 AM today.
High winds may displace loose debris, cause property damage, and lead to power outages. Driving conditions could be particularly difficult for high-profile vehicles and those towing trailers. The NWS urges drivers to use extra caution.
