Ground Advantage packages are delivered in 2-5 days and USPS Tracking® service is included in the price. This is the best-priced service for items up to 15.999 oz, based on weight (rounded up to 4 oz, 8 oz, 12 oz, and 15.999 oz) and zone (distance). Packages greater than 15.999 oz are charged by the pound up to 70 lbs (rounded up). Postage can be paid using stamps, a self-service kiosk, Click-N-Ship, or at a Post Office. The service includes forwarding, undeliverable as addressed (UAA), and return to sender (RTS) at no additional cost. USPS Label Delivery service is available: for an extra $1.65 per label, USPS will print an outbound label and deliver it to you if you don't have a printer. Free Package Pickup is available at your home or office. $100 insurance is included for both outbound and return shipments, and you can purchase up to $5,000 in additional coverage against loss or damage for merchandise. Weight, Size, and Shape Requirements: Large First-Class Mail® envelopes are treated as packages and require Ground Advantage pricing if they are: more than 15 inches long, 12 inches high, or 3/4 inch thick; rigid (can't bend); or not uniformly thick (lumpy). For packages up to 15.999 oz, price tiers are: up to 4 oz; up to 8 oz; up to 12 oz; and up to 15.999 oz. You must round up to the nearest tier. For packages over 15.999 oz and up to 70 lbs, the maximum weight is 70 lbs and rates are by the pound (lb), rounded up. Maximum combined length and girth (girth is the distance around the thickest part) is 130 inches. Additional fees apply for: Dimensional Weight (DIM) rates apply to large, lightweight packages larger than 1 cubic foot (1,728 cubic inches). To calculate: Multiply Length x Width x Height and divide by 139 to get the DIM weight in pounds. Any fraction of an inch must be rounded up to the next whole inch. If the DIM weight is greater than the actual package weight, you'll pay the DIM weight price. If you omit or give inaccurate dimensions and don't pay the DIM weight rate when it applies, you'll pay a dimension-noncompliance fee. Nonstandard fees vary based on length, volume, or characteristics: Between 22 and 30 inches long: add $4.50; More than 30 inches long: add $10.00; More than 2 cubic feet (3,456 cubic inches): add $21.00; A nonstandard shape or material: add $4.00 (such as cylindrical tubes or rolls, cans, wooden or metal boxes, or items with liquid contents or polybags with contents that may shift). Live Animal & Perishable Handling Fee: An extra $7.50 handling fee applies for packages with live animals or other perishable items, including food and plants, with proper packaging and required markings. HAZMAT Handling Fee: There is a $0.00 handling fee for shipping Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT), though incorrectly labeled commercial shipments may be subject to a HAZMAT noncompliance fee. Mailing Restrictions & Prohibitions: There are specific regulations and standards for mailing restricted, prohibited, and hazardous materials, including cigarettes and smokeless tobacco. For packages shipped to a Military Post Office (APO/FPO/DPO), you'll pay domestic prices, but these destinations require a customs form and have specific restrictions. Expected delivery for mailable items up to 70 lbs is 2-5 days, though packages going to certain places (including Alaska, Hawaii, and offshore destinations), or containing hazardous materials or live animals may receive slower service.
