Use USPS Priority Mail Express Shipping Boxes that come in standard sizes so you don't have to worry about measuring them. You'll need to measure your package to make sure it meets the size standards. Maximum combined length and girth (girth is the distance around the thickest part) is 108″. Additional Fees: Dimensional (DIM) weight rates apply to large, lightweight packages. Note: If your package has both nonstandard characteristics and length, you'll only pay the higher nonstandard fee, not both. However, the fee for volume exceeding 2 cubic feet applies in all cases. USPS Flat Rate packaging is exempt from all Nonstandard Fees. Live Animal and Perishable Handling Fee: If you're sending live animals or other perishable items like food or plants, you'll need to pay an extra $7.50 handling fee.
