Or, come into the St. Pete Beach Public Library and bring the following item(s) with you: A valid Florida driver’s license/Florida identification card with a local addressOR an alternate valid picture ID and one of the following: Your current TRIM notice A current utility bill (includes cable television) A long-term lease on a property (6 mos. or greater) A deed to property Vehicle registration or title (current year) Voter’s registration Other government-issued identification with address Applicants under the age of 16 need a guardian present. ** Non-Member City Residents may apply for a PPLC library card; however, your city may not cover the total cost of your library card. To find out if your city is not a member visit the PPLC website here: Non Member City Reimbursements** Seasonal Visitors: Visitors to Pinellas County who are not property owners or year-round residents may apply for a seasonal visitor’s library card by producing current photo identification and providing a temporary local address. Seasonal visitors pay a $25.00 QUARTERLY fee for a card that gives them borrowing privileges in all PPLC member libraries. Seasonal visitors are responsible for any fees accumulated on their account. For this reason, we caution you about sharing your card with others. Honor Items: If none of the above options apply to your situation, the St. Pete Beach Public Library has an honor collection of books and puzzles that can be borrowed without a library card, let the workers at the circulation desk know how many you're taking and bring them back when you're finished with them. Q: Can I use my library card from another county or city in Florida to check out materials? Yes. PPLC has reciprocal borrowing agreements with many local library systems. The patron must bring a picture ID and current active card from their home library to register with a PPLC library. Check with your local library to see which libraries have reciprocal agreements with PPLC. This card option does not include use of electronic resources such as eBooks, streaming services, etc. Q: I lost my library card! What do I do? Come into the library with your ID/proof of residency and we will issue you a new card. (Please note this will change your library Card number on any online databases and resources).
