You can apply, pay for, and print out your burn permit all from home! You can pay by Debit/Credit card or Electronic check by entering your account info off of one of your checks. It is super easy to do, and very convenient.Dutton Fire Department wants to remind you to have plenty of water on hand before you burn, don't burn in high winds, and most importantly STAY SAFE! Carbon County Open Burning Permit Information Available Online

Open Burning Permits. Check Burn Status. Apply for Permit. Burn Permits are required for open burning in Carbon County. Please check the current burn status before you burn. Burning regulations are in place to protect our community and natural resources. Burn permits are issued by the Carbon County Fire Warden. All burn permits are issued subject to the Montana Department of Environmental Quality and the local fire warden. All burns must be reported to the dispatch center 30 minutes prior to igniting the fire. The burn permit number must be given to dispatch when reporting.
