Burning regulations are in place to protect our community and natural resources. Burn permits are issued by the Carbon County Fire Warden. All burn permits are issued subject to the Montana Department of Environmental Quality and the local fire warden. All burns must be reported to the dispatch center 30 minutes prior to igniting the fire. The burn permit number must be given to dispatch when reporting.
