Cape Coral Building Industry Committee | Lee BIA Partnership

Cape Coral formed a Building Industry Committee through a partnership with the Lee Building Industry Association, with the group's first meeting set for May 20, 2026.

The committee will improve communication between city officials and developers on permitting, inspections, and development services. Before the inaugural meeting, Lee BIA will hold listening sessions to gather construction industry feedback and shape the committee's goals.

City Manager Michael Ilczyszyn said the partnership demonstrates "the City's commitment to working alongside the building industry to create strong, positive relationships that support sound, responsible growth and improved service for our community."

Phillip Ford, executive vice president of Lee BIA, said the organization looks forward to "working together to address the needs of both our industry and the City to ensure continued growth and success."

Committee members include Justin Einstein of Aubuchon Homes, Ian Moore of Compass Construction, Annette Nilles of Nilles Design Group, Ian Schmoyer and Kevin Bellville of Christopher Alan Homes, Joe Preffer of Arnold Roberts Signature Homes, Jerod Engler of Curran Young Construction, and Nick Stewart of NPS Consulting.
