A Wind Advisory has been issued for Cambria and Somerset Counties, urging residents to secure outdoor objects and use extra caution when driving. The advisory, issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) State College PA, is effective from 8:00 PM EDT this evening, Saturday, October 10, until 2:00 PM EDT tomorrow, Sunday, October 11.
Southeast winds are expected to reach speeds of 15 to 25 mph, with maximum gusts between 45 and 50 mph. These conditions may blow around unsecured objects and could lead to tree limbs being blown down. A few power outages are also possible.
The NWS advises that those operating high-profile vehicles should be especially careful while driving. Residents are strongly encouraged to secure any outdoor items that could be impacted by strong winds.
