This warning is for a severe event with immediate urgency.
Strong tropical storm force winds are anticipated, with peak gusts reaching 45-60 mph, and some areas potentially experiencing gusts up to 85 mph. These dangerous winds are expected from early this evening until Saturday morning. Remaining efforts to protect life and property, including securing loose objects, should be completed as soon as possible. Move to safe shelter before winds become hazardous.
A Flood Watch is also in effect, with 3-6 inches of rain expected, and locally higher amounts. This could lead to major flooding, prompting evacuations and rescues.
