Brevard Commissioners to Review Watershed Grant Agreements
Brevard County Commissioners will review grant agreements for watershed management projects during their Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026, meeting. The board will consider agreements for the West Brevard Watershed Master Plan (Grant H1499) and the Salt Lake Watershed Master Plan (Grant H1530), both funded by the Florida Division of Emergency Management. Commissioners will also grant the County Manager authority to execute contracts, task orders and necessary amendments for both grants, even for amounts exceeding $200,000. The County Manager can also approve budget changes to facilitate project implementation. These master plans aim to improve water management and resilience in Brevard County. The agenda item, part of the consent agenda, lists exhibits including HMGP H1499 Grant Agreement, Salt Lake Watershed Master Plan - H1530, and AO29 - HMGP H1499 W Brevard WMP for the commissioners' review. The meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. Residents can find detailed agenda documents on the Brevard County government portal.
