Bradenton and Sarasota supporters of the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) gathered for the institution’s annual Student Scholarship Auction Gala and Dinner. The event, a key LECOM fundraiser, provides financial assistance to students pursuing careers in medicine and other healthcare professions.
The Sarasota event took place Oct. 3, 2026, at The Ora. While this specific event has passed, the funds raised continue to support LECOM students.
The gala featured a cocktail reception, silent and live auctions, and an elegant dinner. Attendees bid on donated items and experiences, including tickets to sporting events and theatrical productions, original artwork, jewelry, and getaway packages. Proceeds directly benefit the LECOM Student Scholarship Fund, helping students overcome financial hurdles in professional healthcare education.
John M. Ferretti, D.O., LECOM president and CEO, and Silvia M. Ferretti, D.O., LECOM provost, senior vice president, and dean of academic affairs, delivered welcoming remarks. Scholarship recipients also attended to express gratitude to donors.
