Anna Maria Galati, the beloved matriarch and heart of the Galati family, died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2026, in Bradenton. She was 87.
Galati’s legacy centered on her family, a reflection of her belief in unconditional love and mutual support. She instilled these values in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, fostering a close-knit family.
Born in New Rochelle, New York, Anna Maria met her husband, Michael Anthony Galati, there. They moved to Florida in 1968 and raised their five children in Bradenton, where they established a family business. Galati worked alongside her husband, demonstrating strength and a strong work ethic to support her family and their enterprise.
She embraced her sons’ wives as her own daughters and cherished her twelve grandchildren, making each feel special. As her family grew to include twenty-one great-grandchildren, her affection expanded. She found joy in their gatherings, often sharing her wisdom with the phrase, “It’s the circle of life,” which reflected her faith and appreciation for each moment.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carmine and Angelina Guida; her husband, Michael Anthony Galati; and her brother, Orlando Guida.
She is survived by her sister, Carol LaBarbara; her children Joseph Galati (Jennifer), Carmine Galati (Jane), Frances Galati, Michael Galati Jr. (Mary) and Christopher Galati (Kellie); her twelve grandchildren and their spouses; and her twenty-one great-grandchildren.
Per her wishes, the family will hold a private funeral and service. The family suggests donations in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel, 604 43rd Street, Bradenton, is handling arrangements.
